Why You Need to Attend the Taste by the Bay at the Tides Inn

If you don’t already have plans for November 23, 2019, you will after hearing about this fall festival! The list of reasons to check out the Taste by the Bay at the Tides Inn is nearly endless, but we were able to narrow it down to five. Find out what they are, and start planning your trip to one of the most highly anticipated annual events in the Northern Neck. (It’s only a short drive or walk from the Hope & Glory Inn and Vineyard!)

Top 3 Reasons to Attend Taste by the Bay 2019 at the Tides Inn

1. The Dog and Oyster Vineyard Will Make an Appearance

If you were at Taste by the Bay in 2018, you might have seen us at our booth for The Dog and Oyster Vineyard. We offered a couple of the delicious pairings you can expect on-site at SIP and SLURP, with our medal-winning wines and Stuart Tyson’s unbelievable food specials. Last year, we served our Chambourcin and Sweet Rosie with his chocolate eclair cake and our Chardonel and Pearl with his Virginia Slider. Expect to see us again this year — stop by, say hello, and try something tasty!

2. You Can Try a Variety of Additional Wines and Brews

There are several more local wines and craft beers you can try at the event this year, too. Bring your appetite for refreshing beverages! After a visit to The Dog and Oyster Vineyard’s booth, feel free to check out more offerings from Northern Neck wineries, like Good Luck Cellars and Ingleside Vineyards. Or, if you prefer beers and ciders, try the Primal Instinct IPA from Wild Wolf, Cran-Gose from Devil’s Back Bone, Rose Cider from Bold Rock, and more.

3. Local Restaurants Will Offer Delicious Samples

Of course, there will be no shortage of tasty food at Taste by the Bay at the Tides Inn in Irvington, VA! Feel free to pair all of these flavorful drinks with samples from local restaurants. The long list of participating eateries includes Adrift, Cora’s Kitchen, Northern Neck Popcorn, and so much more. Make sure you come to the celebration hungry! Otherwise, we’re sure you’ll work up an appetite as you browse the artisan booths, listen to live music, and meet with new and old friends throughout the grounds.

Ticket Information: Purchase your tickets online for $30 or $35 at the door. We recommend getting them early since the event sold out last year!

Bonus: The Venue Is Minutes Away From the Hope and Glory Inn

The list of reasons to attend Taste by the Bay in November isn’t complete without mentioning the fact that it’s near the beautiful Hope & Glory Inn and Vineyard! Our charming and award-winning Irvington inn is the perfect retreat for attendees to Taste by the Bay and a variety of other local events. It’s far enough away for some welcome peace and relaxation while being close enough to walk or drive there in minutes!

MSN named us the most charming bed and breakfast in Virginia, and Cottage 2 is a fantastic example of why we earned that title. This serene retreat features a lovely porch, cozy living room, and premium, queen bedroom. You’ll love the fenced-in, garden patio!

Act soon before we fill up for the event this November. Check our availability and book your stay at the Hope and Glory Inn today!
