The James Suite

So named after Edwin Leland James who graduated from The Chesapeake Male and Female Academy – the school that is now the Hope and Glory. We felt it only befitting to name it after the school’s most prestigious graduate and whose family still resides in Irvington.
Mr. James was the Managing Editor of The New York Times. Earlier in his career, he was that paper’s European Correspondent stationed in Paris; and as such, was the first to interview Charles Lindbergh when he landed in Paris.

An exquisite cottage designed for discerning guests who seek our most spacious accommodation and guests who come in groups – friends, families, girlfriends, wedding parties, business retreats… who desire a larger and private hospitality space for gatherings.
