Built in 1735, this gorgeous church is a must-see during your time in the Chesapeake Bay area! One of the most beautiful churches ever built in this country, Christ Church is now a National Historic Landmark. It’s been well-preserved and kept in pristine condition. Tour the church and visit the museum for even more information about this incredible landmark.
Visit the Dog and Oyster Vineyard
This beautiful vineyard is just a short walk away from our inn! The Dog and Oyster Vineyard was named after some of our rescue dogs and also for the popular delicacy in the Chesapeake Bay — oysters! We are open every weekend of the year and every day from April to October. Stop by, say hello, and try one of our award-winning wines. Then, check out our new oyster stand, Slurp, for delicious meals and seasonal specials!
Relax on the Water
Once you’ve spent a day touring historical landmarks and beautiful vineyards, plan to cool off with some time on the water. We have excellent water access nearby for you to enjoy. You can also head down to Hughlett Point Natural Area Preserve, just minutes from our inn. Here, you can spend an afternoon sailing or view wildlife along its walking trails. Don’t forget to take a ride through the area on our complimentary bicycles, too!
