Pool, Beaches and Kayaking

POOL
Experience a fabulous swimming pool and terrace nestled in the woods at Vineyard Grove, just a short walk or bike ride away from the Inn. Surrounded by flowers within a white picket fence, there is a large cathedral-like “Tabernacle” at one end, embraced with wisteria offering shade and comfort as one gazes out at the headwaters of Carter’s Creek. Open to the elements, it is shaped only with metal pipe. Changing rooms and a bathroom grace the opposite end.

BEACHES
Westland Beach – 10 minutes by car at Windmill Point, the very tip of the Northern Neck with wonderful views of the mouth of the Rappahannock and the Chesapeake Bay.

Hughlett's Point Natural Area – 20 minutes by car – a natural preserve where you most likely will find yourself alone and totally connected with the beauty of the Chesapeake.

KAYAKING
If you bring your own kayak, we have a launch and storage over on our vineyard property.

Rentals are offered at two locations – one 20 minutes away, the other 30 minutes. Just two more areas to explore down and close to the water.
