of the Chesapeake Bay, the Potomac and the Rappahannock
Rivers, the Northern Neck is a sailing, boating and
fishing haven. Let us get you to the water with your
very own Captain.
COVE CRUISE
Your first choice should be our vessel the Faded Glory.
We encourage you to use her for private charters. Charter
our boat and take your friends and family out in style.
The cost is $300 for the first hour and $150 for each
additional hour. Coast Guard-certified for up to 28
passengers. Built to negotiate the waters of the Bay,
she is as stable as one can get and the shallow draft
enables one to explore coves too shallow for most boats.
Soak up this area with a leisurely cruise and let our
captain do the work.
BEACH CRUISE or DISCOVERY CRUISE
Our next recommendation offers a different experience.
Our captain will take you flying in a 22 ft center console
Sea Pro with a 200 hp engine. At 45 miles per hour you
can can go almost anywhere. $120 per hour, 2 hour minimum.
Consider these adventures:
BEACH CRUISE - a deserted sliver of an island beach
with only sand and sea grass. Complete with umbrella
and blanket. Ideal for family adventure or for a couple
just wanting their very own beach.
DISCOVERY CRUISES – visit Urbanna, Deltaville,
Reedville and/or Tangier Island. Just tell your captain
where you want to go. Visiting these towns by car would
take all day, we can do it faster by water.
FISHING
Be it rock, blue or just floundering, let our recommended
captain take you to the fish. We will store your catch
until your departure.
SAILING SCHOOL
We are most fortunate to have the 6th largest sailing
school in the US, Premier Sailing, just down the street.
Lessons are availablefor children and adults.
ADULT LESSONS - Basic sailing course takes 4 full days
and can be done over 2 weekends if desired. Courses
start at 9:30 and finish at 4:30 and lunch is taken
at anchor. Although highly structured, the courses are
intensively practical and are aimed at getting you out
on the water, and independent, as quickly as possible.
CHILDREN'S LESSONS - Young people
and children take naturally to sailing. Premier Sailing
specializes in teaching children to sail. Their sailing
program for children was developed from the Royal Yachting
Association Young Sailors Program which breaks down
the learning process into many stages so that each child
can learn at his or her own pace.
CORPORATE EVENTS - Sailing, and in particular racing,
is a natural team-building experience. Use racing to
build up your team’s confidence and help them
to work together. No previous sailing experience is
necessary. Premier Sailing will organize everything
for you and put an experienced instructor on each boat.
Each boat (J24 or Cal 30) can accommodate four of your
team plus skipper.
