Peggy and Dudley Patteson

The Hope and Glory Inn is owned by Peggy and Dudley Patteson. Under their leadership, the Hope and Glory Inn has been described as America’s most acclaimed inn with glowing reviews by Travel+Leisure, National Geographic Traveler, The New York Times and many more. It has earned Frommer’s highest rating for the past three editions; and, is a Conde Nast Johansen recommendation for 2007.

Peggy’s original partner was Bill Westbrook who was the visionary and founder of the Hope and Glory Inn in 1996. Bill tapped Peggy to be his partner in 2001. Prior to that, Peggy spent 16 years at The Tides Inn serving as Director of Guest Services and a member of its Executive Committee.

Prior to buying out Bill Westbrook in 2005, Dudley was a banker and investment banker having managed corporate finance groups at banks and securities firms in Pittsburgh, PA and Washington, DC. More recently, he held senior positions with two community banks; and, continued his capital markets efforts within his own company.
