Detention

Be on your best behavior or you might just end up in Detention, our wine bar located just off the lobby. Everyone at one time or another misbehaved in school. Whether you are bad or good in our schoolhouse inn, you must go to Detention where only Hope and Glory can make punishment so sweet! Your punishment will be to drink good wine and carry on even better conversation with other guests and many who just want to be bad.

Detention features only premium wines and spirits. We hope to provide a story with each selection.

Detention will specialize in four types of wine: wines rated by Wine Spectator and Robert Parker, wines with colorful stories, wines that are the favorites of our Chef, and wines from Virginia.

The only “bad” wine we will serving is wine with mischievous names and labels. These wines are guaranteed to make you smile.

The Hope and Glory Inn is a country inn of seven rooms in an historic schoolhouse, six garden cottages and eight tents within a vineyard on the headwaters of Carter’s Creek. All of which have been individually styled by Lisa Sherry.
